Who are we?
Avalon Radio is located in Montego Bay, Jamaica, broadcasting primarily to listeners who appreciate the sound of good contemporary music along with quality speech based programming.
Because Avalon Radio’s broadcast medium is internet based , anyone with a computer and internet service will be able to log on and listen to any scheduled programme(s) of their choice thru one of our many podcasts
The Team
The Avalon Radio team is headed up by Las Latty, a veteran of community radio broadcasting for over 50 years.
Born in Jamaica, Las moved to the USA in the early 1950s where he was exposed to the influence of “West Coast Jazz”. He has been involved with community (NPR) radio in Boston, Los Angeles, Toronto, and more recently…Glastonbury and Frome, Somerset. United Kingdom.
Our Mission
To provide a service, which will be different to existing services available in the area. Avalon Radio will provide an effective information system, coupled with a high level of quality music.
